3. What should I do when I receive a contract for digital signature?

To sign the contract, simply follow the instructions in the email you received from DocuSign. You'll typically be asked to click on a link that takes you to the document to be signed. There, you can add your electronic signature and complete the process.

4. Is there a fee for using a digital signature with DocuSign?

No, there are no costs to you for using the digital signature with DocuSign. 



5. Are my data and signature secure?

6. Do I need a DocuSign account to sign? Do I need to register to receive my contract?

No, you don't need a DocuSign account to sign, and you don't need to register to receive your contract. It will be provided to you as a PDF attachment in your email inbox for subsequent filing. 



7. Do I need to scan and upload my own signature?

No, that's not necessary. If you prefer, you can sign with your finger on the touchpad. Alternatively, you can choose one of the offered font types. The validity of the contract does not depend on the appearance of the signature. 



8. How can I recognize that I've received an email to digitally sign a contract?

In this case, the sender of the email is usually your customer advisor with the addition "via DocuSign,". The  and the subject line reads "Your Libri Contract / Please sign." The sender email address is DocuSign EU System <dse@eumail.docusign.net>. 

The email is branded with the Libri logo and contains name and email of a Libri employee as well as your name.   



9. Can I sign on a mobile device (phone, tablet)? 

Yes, that's possible. However, when choosing your device, keep in mind that comfort and clarity decrease as the display size gets smaller. 



10. Do I need a touch-capable device to sign?

No, you can sign with any device that can receive emails and is equipped with a browser. 



11. How long do I have to sign a document?

You have a maximum of 30 days to sign the document and will be regularly reminded to sign via email during this time. 



Click directly on the option "send new link" on the left side of the image, and a new link will be immediately sent to your email address.

13. My contract in DocuSign states that I should send the document in multiple copies to Hamburg. Does this also apply to documents signed in DocuSign?

No, in DocuSign, all business partners jointly sign a secure and certified document and each receive their own document as a PDF via email. 



14. What do red or red-highlighted fields in my contract mean?

Red-bordered fields in your contract are mandatory fields that you must fill out as part of the contract conclusion. The context menu will tell you what should be entered. If you're unsure what to enter in a field, please contact your customer advisor. 


Fields are always highlighted in red when they have been pre-filled, and you only need to verify if the information is correct. When opening the contract, you will additionally see this message:

15. What happens after I've signed the document?

You will receive a confirmation email from DocuSign confirming the successful completion of the signature process. You will be sent a complete copy of the signed document and the summary via email, and you have the option to download it directly after signing.
