Social DRM

Modified on Thu, 21 May at 12:41 PM

Social DRM — also known as “soft” copyright protection — refers to the protection of an eBook through an invisible watermark. The watermark is embedded into the eBook upon delivery and can be traced in cases of unauthorized reproduction in order to identify the original buyer.

The use of the eBook itself is not restricted by this protection: the file can be copied as often as desired and used across different devices.

These eBooks can be used with all common programs for digital reading.
