Digital Rights Management

Modified on Thu, 21 May at 12:41 PM

To ensure that media can only be used by authorized users, different types of copyright protection, also known as DRM, are used. The abbreviation “DRM” stands for Digital Rights Management. Its purpose is to prevent content from being copied, distributed, or otherwise used without the permission of the rights holders.

In the Libri.Digital catalog, we distinguish between three types of DRM: social DRM, technical DRM, or no DRM.
